@TRAKON-Design

If it is printed vertically, the layer adhesion would propably be an issue.

Good job! Have you already uploaded the latest files?

OK, so it should be printed flat and as a separate part. So is it worthy to develop it? I just would like to make 3D printer self-sufficient to give a ready product. Not to search for a rubber or a belt.

I've found some good info in that topic. NIH (National Institute of Health in USA) approved use of face shields with that design:

Project page:

Project files:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... q_5meSHNll

I think it would be the best if our design meets the same design principals as that one linked above (closed opening above shield for example).
Also, integrating light in that shield should be easier as it's stroneger and less prone to flex due to added weight.

Let me know what you think!

Sure gonna post it after my work (about 4pm UTC+2) with the new model of face shield (based on the design linked by Maciej Zarnowski). I will also reorganise the drive for easier accessibility

EDIT:
Updated google drive. Both types have separate folders with newest files. Other files remain in main catalogue.

Hi, I share my prototype for "3D printed face shield with a lamp mounting system"

The idea is to mount a face shield on a headlamp strap - not to double the construction. I tested it on a standard headlight and I am pretty sure it will work also on more sturdy medical headlamps.

The length and angle need adjustments - to make more room for the lamp and make it closer to face. Construction can be lighter and use less filament and be faster to print.

I am looking forward to your feedback.

Here are .3mf files to print:

The closing above face is important. My doubt with this particular design is that it will take very long time to print.
I think the peak could be made from the same of transparent plastic as main shield. The printed part would only have a mount for it.

Here is similar idea with peak made from PPE:

I think it's a great idea to use plastic film to cover the upper opening!
